Gainesville Padel Club is planning a one-court padel pilot in Gainesville. Before we launch anything, we want to know who’s in. Tell us how you’d like to be involved. It takes a minute and it’s free.

Step one: a one-court pilot

We’re starting small on purpose. The first step is a single padel court with shade, seating and a small clubhouse and pro shop, so Gainesville can play while we prove the demand. If it works, the pilot grows into a full club.

The site isn’t secured yet and we’re not promising an opening date. Everyone on this list will hear first.

The road to opening

  1. Interest list: open now. You’re here.
  2. Site secured: planned
  3. Court built: planned
  4. Opening: planned. Founding Members hear first.

No dates are set yet. We’ll share them when they’re real.

The long-term vision

If the pilot takes off, the dream is a home for racket sports in North Central Florida:

  • 8–10 indoor padel courts and 8–10 pickleball courts
  • Indoor soccer courts
  • A beach-style pool
  • A restaurant, spa, gym and pub
  • A lounge for watching padel and pickleball events and meeting other players

This is a long-term vision, not a commitment, and it would come in phases over several years.

Amenities: pilot and vision

Here’s what we’re planning for the first step, and what the club could grow into later.

The pilot (step one)

  • One padel court
  • Shade and seating for players and spectators
  • A small clubhouse and pro shop
  • Group clinics, private lessons and camps (planned)
  • Ball machine rental: planned add-on, pricing TBA

The long-term vision

  • Multiple padel courts and pickleball courts
  • Lounge and café, pro shop, gym
  • Locker rooms and showers
  • Indoor soccer courts
  • A beach-style pool
  • A restaurant, spa and pub

The long-term vision is exactly that: a vision, not a commitment. It would come in phases, only if the pilot works, and features may change.

More renderings

Planned Founding Membership

Planned. Details may change. Not on sale yet. We are not selling memberships or taking payments, deposits or reservations. Joining the list is free and is how you’ll hear first when terms are ready.

We’re designing a one-year Founding Membership that would start on the day the club opens. Pricing will be announced after legal review. Planned benefits:

  • Court time all year: unlimited off-peak play, plus one prime-time booking (1.5 hours) held at a time, subject to availability
  • Priority booking: book 7 days ahead
  • Coaching: 4 founders’ group clinics a year, one per quarter, in small groups of up to 4
  • A padel paddle to get you started
  • A “Smash, Sip & HODL” T-shirt
  • VIP grand opening pass: a founders-only preview before we open to the public
  • VIP access to club events

Full terms, including refunds and any taxes, will be published before anything goes on sale.

Tournaments

We want Gainesville on the padel map. The plan is to start with friendly club tournaments and socials, and to hold a GPC Bitcoin Smash Championship. Experienced local players have already offered to help run events. Longer term, we aim to host USA Padel–sanctioned tournaments, which need more than one court, so those come with the bigger club. No dates are set yet.

Formats we plan to offer:

  • Ladders: challenge players near your level and climb the rankings
  • Leagues: regular team or doubles play over a season
  • Round robins: play everyone in your group in a single session
  • Americano and Mexicano socials: rotating-partner formats where you play with and against different people all session
  • Clinics to competition: a path from beginner clinics to your first friendly tournament

We plan to join USA Padel, the sport’s national governing body, and our aim is to be listed as a tournament location once we have the courts to host sanctioned events.

The GPC Bitcoin Smash Championship, with Bitcoin prizes, is planned. Prizes, rules and eligibility will be announced only after legal review.

Coaching

Padel is easy to learn and hard to put down. We plan to offer group clinics for new and experienced players, private lessons and camps. Coaches and schedules will be announced closer to opening.

Try padel: demo day

Coming soon. We’re planning a demo day so Gainesville can pick up a paddle before the club opens. No date or location yet. Join the list to hear first.

Ball machine rental

Want to drill on your own? We plan to offer a padel ball machine you can rent with a court for solo practice. Planned add-on; pricing TBA.
